Volunteer Opportunities

Join the hundreds of IBE volunteers who work year-round in a variety of capacities to support and carry out the mission of the organization. 2012 Summer Celebration Volunteer Opportunities

Event:  Volunteer Recruitment and Orientation
Date:  Tuesday, April 24, 2012 - 5:30 p.m.
Location:
  Independent Colleges of Indiana, 3135 N. Meridian, Indianapolis, IN

Areas of Interest:  

Hotel Hospitality - Serve as the official IBE Summer Celebration Welcome Wagon.  Provide guests with information about Summer Celebration events & attractions;
Information Booth - Welcome all guests to the Summer Celebration, serve as a resource for all attendees, make special announcements and serve as event lost and found.
Cultural Arts Pavilion (Receptionist) - Staff the Cultural Arts pavilion office and answer telephone inquiries.
Docks Parking - Accept vendor passes as proof of payment; direct traffic to the available docks for loading and unloading, and maintain control of parked vehicles.
Dock Registration
- Record each vendor that checks in and direct vendors to their respective halls.
Exhibit Hall Monitor - Monitor exhibit booths for conformity (noise, space, theft), assist vendors on location, and inform staff of emergency situations.
Exhibit Hall Security - Report all infractions of contract violations and booth infringements, monitor safety of exhibit floor an assigned areas, respond to vendor complaints and enforce staff evictions.
VIP Security (Music Heritage Festival) - Monitor VIP section at the free concert and crowds on the streets around the American Legion Mall.
